O Rings & Materials

O-Rings & Materials

All British standard sizes plus a wide range of non-standard sizes.

We supply O-rings in many different materials and shore hardness. FDA and WRAS approved materials are also available.

o ring

Buna – Nitrile 70shore (Standard) 50shore, 60shore, 90shore

Ideal for use with Hydralic and lubricating oils, vegatable oils, water, alcohol and air. Very good mechanical properties. a versatile industry standard elastomer.

o ring

Fluorocarban (Viton) 75shore (standard) 50shore, 60shore, 90shore

Able to withstand high temperatures (-15° to +205°), hydrailc fluid and certain chemicals, oxidising liquids, acids and hot air. Viton is a quality elastomer and can perform well in high vacuum applications.

Ethylene-propylene 70shore (Standard)

Good chemical resistance and excellent ozone and weathering resistance. Perform to a high standard when exposed to mild acids, heated water and high temperatures of steam. (Temp range -55° to +150°)

o ring
silicone o ring

Silicone (White and Red) 70shore (standard) 50shore, 60shore  FDA APPROVED

Excellent for high and low temperatures (-60° to +230°) Good resistance to Ozone and many chemicals. Silicone is also known for its very good electrical properties.

Fluorosilicone (Blue) 60shore (standard)

Has temperature range similar to standard silicone with improved fuel and chemical resistance. Fluorosilicone is also known for its flexibility when exposed to low temperatures and ozone weathering.

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)

This material is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and has an impressive temperature range. (_120° to +260°)
